Event Details
Join Chopsticks Alley Art and ICA San José for a very special guided meditation within our gallery on February 19th, at 11am. Participants will be led in a relaxing, 1-hour program including a short introduction on Asian perspectives on love and our connection to nature, followed by a short meditation. Guests will have the opportunity to connect with one another.
Featuring:
Trami Cron, Author, Exec Artistic Director of Chopsticks Alley Art
Smita Garg, EdD, Arts Educator, and Holistic Health
Art is healing because it forces us to forge a connection between our mind and body. Unlike exercise, which works your body, or meditation, which clears your mind, art-making accesses both mind and body to promote healing. In this session, we will help you connect through art and meditation to help your overall well-being. We will provide mats, but feel free to bring your own. Chairs will be provided as needed.
We are very mindful of recent Covid-19 spikes and will be limiting capacity, so please only RSVP if you plan to attend. If your attendance status changes, please notify bella@sjica.org prior to the event. Masks and proof of vaccination will be required to enter the space.
